In principle, all staff members of the Sustainability Research Group can advise you on your studies; however, please note that we cannot answer questions regarding the content and structure of other degree programmes.

The Master’s programme in Sustainable Development (MSD) was launched at the University of Basel in 2005 and has been continuously developed since then. The current curriculum has been in place since 2017.
This interdisciplinary programme combines perspectives from the natural, social and economic sciences and provides analytical, integrative and reflexive skills to address complex sustainability challenges.
In addition, students from other degree programmes can complete the certificate programme “Pathways to Sustainability”.
