Curriculum Vitae
Lesly Nassila is a PhD student in the Sustainability Research Group at the University of Basel. She is part of the EXPECT-AGRI project, which investigates the implementation of sustainable supply chains due diligence legislations, such as the EU Deforestation Regulation and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive.
Prior to joining the University of Basel, Lesly Nassila worked as a Technical Advisor in the “Adaptation of agricultural value chains to climate change” project (PrAda II) at GIZ Madagascar.
She completed a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and Managing for Sustainability at McGill University as well as a double master’s program in Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Policy Analysis at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). In her master’s thesis, she examined Hungarian farmers’ willingness to cooperate on agri-environmental climate measures using a public goods game experiment.
She also has experience working as a Research Associate at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT.
