Sufficiency in Everyday Life
The project "Sufficiency as an Added Value in Everyday Life" has recently published an English version of the publication "Sufficiency in Everyday Life, Promising Steps Towards Achieving a Low-Carbon Society."
What is sufficiency, and what are promising approaches to promote sufficiency? The project "Sufficiency as an Added Value in Everyday Life", funded by the Mercator Foundation Switzerland, has been dealing with these questions for three years.
As part of this research, the study "Sufficiency in Everyday Life, Promising Steps Towards Achieving a Low-Carbon Society" was published in 2019. Part of the study looked at how consumption habits and everyday routines work on an individual level and contribute to sufficiency. The other part of the study dealt with barriers to implementation and how these can be overcome in terms of governance for sustainable development. The English version of this publication has recently become available.
