Public lecture with Prof. Dr. Ricarda Winkelmann on 31.10, 18:00 in the Gehry Auditorium, Novartis Campus
Prof. Dr. Ricarda Winkelmann is the founding director of the Max Planck Institute for Geoanthropology. As a physicist and climate scientist, she contributes significantly to our understanding of the complex dynamics of the Earth system, including the ice dynamics of Greenland and Antarctica, the resilience of ecosystems and tipping dynamics. She is a member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the Earth Commission and has participated in several academic expeditions to the Andes and Antarctica.
The lecture will be held in German with simultaneous translation into English.
