The 2026 Basel Sustainability Forum: Food kicks off on 23 September with an introduction by Prof. Manfred Max Bergman, Director of the Social Transitions Research Group, followed by a keynote lecture by Prof. Janina Grabs, Professor of Sustainability Research at the University of Basel.

The session marks the beginning of a semester-long lecture series bringing together researchers and practitioners working at the intersection of food systems, sustainability science and societal change. The series is open to anyone with an interest in sustainability.
