SUMMARY:AWARE Sound Fair 2026: Sustainability Through Music and Practice
DESCRIPTION:As part of this course there is a collaborative learning method
where students design and implement a public event\, which turns theoreti
cal approaches to sustainability into reality. AWARE is the result of this
work and is developed by students to be the organisers\, curators and fac
ilitators of a real-world cultural project. It links education with hands-
on application in the management of events and an environmentally friendly
and multidisciplined approach to collaboration.\\r\\nThe programme combin
es live performances\, interactive installations\, and workshops across th
e Kollegienhaus. Visitors can expect classical and contemporary concerts\,
awareness spaces\, and participatory formats such as a clothing swap and
sustainability-focused exhibitions. These elements are designed to encoura
ge engagement with sustainability topics through artistic and experiential
formats.\\r\\nThematically\, the event is about environmental responsibil
ity\, social inclusion\, and conscious consumption. The multi-disciplinary
  nature allows for dialogue for the exchange between students and peers\;
researchers and research in the field\, as well as for information from th
e local community and public organizations\, to inspire engagement and ref
lection to discuss common practices.\\r\\nThe AWARE Sound Fair is open to
everyone and will take place at the Kollegienhaus\, University of Basel on
13th of June 2026 from 17:00 till late! Follow us on our The AWARE Sound
